Job summary

Conservation Legacy in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a Crew Leader II for a February–May field program. You will mentor young adults, lead conservation projects, and ensure safety and logistics across Appalachian worksites.

The role is seasonal/full-time with a 9-on/5-off schedule, camping in the field, and meals prepared by the crew. Wages range $925–$1,125 per week; health benefits commence after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead and mentor a crew of young adults.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Wilderness First Aid (or higher) certification is required before start date.
• Ability to manage crew life, training, safety, and logistics according to program policies.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Assistant Crew Leader and provide growth opportunities.
• Train and supervise crew on conservation projects and safety.
• Coordinate logistics with project partners and staff.
• Maintain documentation of crew hours, accomplishments and incidents.
