Job summary

Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, part of the IBP family, is hiring a Waterproofer Installer in Raleigh to join our Alpha team. You will install waterproofing systems across commercial sites, read blueprints, and coordinate with trades, ensuring safety and quality on every project.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (trade cert a plus), ability to work at heights, lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. OSHA 10/30 is a plus, and a commitment to safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with waterproofing products and systems (e.g., Sika, Tremco, Henry, etc.).
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (50 lbs or more).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install waterproofing systems, including membranes (bituminous, liquid-applied, or sheet), sealants, coatings, and drainage systems.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, priming, and ensuring proper substrate conditions before installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer installation instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Perform inspections and maintenance on installed waterproofing systems as needed.
• Coordinate with other construction trades and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
