IBP's Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing team in Texas seeks a skilled Waterproofer Installer. The role emphasizes high‑quality workmanship, safety, and consistency on construction sites, with responsibilities ranging from installing membranes and coatings to surface prep and blueprint interpretation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, familiarity with waterproofing products, and the ability to work at heights in various weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with waterproofing products and systems (e.g., Sika, Tremco, Henry, etc.).
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (50 lbs or more).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install waterproofing systems including membranes, sealants, coatings, and drainage systems.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, priming, and ensuring proper substrate conditions before installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer installation instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Perform inspections and maintenance on installed waterproofing systems as needed.
• Coordinate with other construction trades and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
