Job summary

Lake Compounce is seeking an Aquatics Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and refurbish rides and equipment within the waterpark. You will perform preventative maintenance, test rides, adjust controls, diagnose issues, and ensure water quality, contributing to safe and reliable guest experiences.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in maintenance, and a CPO certification within 90 days if required. Fluency in English; Spanish or another language is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance or mechanical experience is highly desired.
• 1-2 years in a waterpark, pool, or aquatics facility is preferred.
• Working knowledge of water chemistry, pumps, and motors is highly desired.
• Must have or obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) within 90 days of hire where required by guidelines.
• English fluency; Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect waterslides and pools daily to ensure safety and performance.
• Balance water chemistry and comply with health codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
• Maintain facilities in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and follow manufacturer specifications.
• Schedule and complete repairs and installations to minimize downtime.
• Use proper PPE and maintain secure storage areas.
• Keep leadership informed of ongoing issues and status.
