Job summary

ACAC Charlottesville is seeking a Waterpark Manager on Duty (MOD) to oversee safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of club operations, especially in aquatics areas. You’ll lead on the pool deck, ensure lifeguard coverage, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and maintenance issues with Five-Star service.

This seasonal, non-exempt MOD role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proactive safety mindset, with flexibility across mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard certification required prior to first day of employment.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Red Cross Lifeguard certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification required prior to first day of employment.
• College degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and full operational coverage on the pool deck.
• Lead and manage opening, mid-shift, and closing duties and checklists.
• Ensure proper lifeguard coverage and safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies and complete incident reports.
• Deliver Five-Star service to members and guests at all times.
