Ascent Aerospace in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a Plasma/Waterjet Operator to cut, kit, and process raw materials per customer specs. You will handle plasma/waterjet cutting, labeling, and material tracking while adhering to ITAR and safety requirements.

The role requires basic math, blueprint reading, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Some travel and overtime may be required.

Summary Of Position

The Plasma/Waterjet Operator is responsible for cutting, kitting, and processing raw materials to meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions

• Cutting material to specifications of cut list.
• Plasma and Waterjet material cutting.
• Labeling each detail with required information.
• Keep track of the materials to be cut and material use.
• Documentation of A numbers for material-job tracking for id and traceability.
• Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Required Skills, Education, And Experience

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read tape measures.
• Ability to layout/read angles, cut list, and blueprints.
• Detailed oriented and mechanically inclined.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work and think independently and as part of a team.
