Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a Plasma/Waterjet Operator to cut, kit, and process raw materials to meet customer specifications at our Michigan facility. You will perform plasma and waterjet cutting, label parts, track materials, and maintain traceability, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with safety and export-control requirements.

Strong attention to detail, ability to read blueprints and cut lists, and teamwork with operators and supervision are essential to ensure accurate production

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read tape measures.
• Ability to layout/read angles, cut list, and blueprints.
• Detailed oriented and mechanically inclined.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work and think independently and as part of a team.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Plasma/Waterjet Operator is responsible for cutting, kitting, and processing raw materials to meet customer specifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

• Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
