Job summary

EMJ is seeking a Machine Operator - Waterjet Operator for the 2nd shift in Plainfield, IN. This role sets up, operates, and monitors waterjet machines to produce high-quality materials according to blueprints and orders.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to determine specifications, materials, and instructions for processing.
• Verify heat numbers and confirm that the correct material type is used for each work order.
• Pull and/or cut orders as directed by the Assistant Manager Plant Operations or Plant Manager Operations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the work area and plant as needed.
• Move trucks or trailers on company premises when required, following all safety procedures.
