Job summary

Holtec in Orrville, OH is seeking a Waterjet Operator for 2nd shift to set up and operate waterjet equipment in the Fabrication Department. You will produce precision parts, read blueprints, verify tolerances, and ensure quality standards through careful measurement and inspection.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of waterjet or related machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of waterjet or related machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using calipers and tape measures.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with 2D/3D CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate waterjet machines to manufacture precision components.
• Read from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Load programs, home machines, and verify program accuracy.
• Machining parts to specifications using grinders, drills, and engraving equipment.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and lubrication.
• Record production time and output accurately.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive lifting.
• Work in confined or awkward spaces and in a manufacturing environment.
