Oceaneering is seeking a skilled Waterjet Operator to set up and run Flow Waterjet and OMAX systems, inspect finished parts, and document results in Chesapeake, VA. The role requires reading blueprints, editing programs, and maintaining tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform machine setups, toolpath adjustments, and routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards and producing high‑quality components for our Marine Services Division.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum three years’ experience operating CNC waterjet cutting systems.
• Experience using PMI for in‑process and final inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen who is not a dual citizen.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate Flow Waterjet and OMAX Waterjet systems to produce components per drawings and work instructions.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to maintain tolerances and edge quality.
• Perform machine setup including loading, fixturing, nozzle alignment, abrasive loading, pump startup, and parameter verification.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot cutting programs at the machine (DX files, tool paths, kerf compensation, quality settings).
• Select materials and thickness, adjust parameters for cutting.
• Perform in‑process and final inspections using PMI tools to ensure dimensional compliance.
• Complete all production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance on waterjet systems and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and support production priorities.
