Anderson International in Ohio is seeking a Waterjet Operator to safely set up and run the OMAX abrasive waterjet, including program loading, material setup, and quality verification against drawings.

The role also covers sawing material to length, performing first-piece inspections, and keeping ERP records accurate. Candidates should read drawings, measure with calipers and micrometers, and maintain a clean, safe work area daily.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience operating a CNC waterjet, laser, or plasma cutting system; OMAX experience a plus.
• Experience operating horizontal and/or vertical band saws in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape, squares) and shop math.
• Basic computer skills; ERP or shop-floor system experience preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (certification provided).
• Strong attention to detail, ownership of quality, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate problems clearly and early.

Mansioni

• Waterjet operation: Set up and run the OMAX waterjet; load and select program/nest; set material type and thickness; establish origin; verify cut quality.
• Waterjet upkeep: Monitor abrasive supply and flow, nozzle/orifice condition, pump pressure, and tank water level; perform daily PM checks.
• Sawing: Cut material to length per work order and cut list; select blade, speed, and feed; manage remnants; deburr and identify cut pieces.
• Inspection to print: Read drawings, dimensions, tolerances; perform first-piece and in-process inspection with gauges; stop if not meeting print.
• Work order labor: Clock in/out accurately; track labor hours in real time.
• Transactions: Complete ERP transactions and move parts to next operation.
• Scrap & nonconformance: Report scrap with quantity; tag and document NC; notify management.
• Inventory accuracy: Verify quantities issued/consumed; label remnants; report discrepancies.
• Material handling: Load/unload stock with crane/forklift; stage parts with paperwork.
• Safety & 5S: Follow safety protocols; keep areas clean and organized.
• Communication: Report issues and risks; update status at shift handoff.
• Continuous improvement: Participate in daily Gemba walks and suggest improvements.
