Job summary

Mohawk Industries is a global flooring leader seeking a hands-on production operator to set up and run automated mat printing lines. You will monitor processes, perform inspections, and troubleshoot issues to sustain output while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

This role supports a Fortune 500 manufacturing environment with opportunities for process improvements and collaboration with engineering and quality teams. Experience with manufacturing equipment is valued.

Qualifications

Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication in English.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
Operation and Control: Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and oversee automated processes to print mat products.
Technical operations: startup, continuous operation, and shutdown of automatic machines, using operational software; visual and manual inspections for proper operation.
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions to expedite resolution and maintain production levels.
Observe continuous operation to ensure products meet specifications; measure and inspect for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformity.
Housekeeping: maintain cleanliness of machinery for efficient operations.
Reporting: record production stops and explain reasons to supervisor/technical experts for efficiency gains.
Responsible for lifting 30-40 lbs throughout the shift.
