Job summary

The Halyard at Sound View Greenport is hiring a Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional service year-round. You will oversee the restaurant, bar, and seasonal outlets, develop and mentor the FOH team, and partner with the culinary team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

We seek a leader with 3+ years in upscale or high-volume settings, strong people skills, and solid financial acumen to manage labor costs and performance metrics while upholding health

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience in upscale or high-volume dining.
• Strong leadership with hands-on, service-first style.
• Experience developing teams and a hospitality-driven culture.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Financial acumen with labor, scheduling, and performance metrics.
• Passion for hospitality, food, wine and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead all front-of-house operations with a focus on hospitality and service standards.
• Oversee restaurant, bar, and seasonal beach/pool operations during peak season.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team.
• Create schedules, manage labor costs, and staff based on business needs.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with guests to resolve concerns and build memorable experiences.
• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor labor, sales, cost controls, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
• Maintain a polished dining environment reflecting brand standards.
