Job summary

Hydro Resources - Mid Continent is seeking a project manager to oversee land-based drilling projects for municipal water wells in Las Cruces, NM. You will develop plans, manage budgets, and coordinate crews and contractors to deliver on time and within scope.

Travel to client sites, communicate with clients and regulators, and ensure safety and quality. A bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years PM experience is preferred; proficiency with MS Project, Atlassian tools, and Primavera is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, geosciences, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management.
• Understanding or strong interest in land-based drilling operations and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Atlassian tools, Primavera).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans and schedules for drilling and pump projects.
• Oversee all aspects of drilling and pump operations, including budgeting, permitting, logistics, and contractor management.
• Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and regulatory agencies.
• Track project progress, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company protocols.
• Analyze project data and generate reports as required.
• Continuously improve PM processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Travel to client sites for milestones and to resolve key issues.
