Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, with 4–10 years of experience to lead water and wastewater projects, including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal.

The role involves business development, client management, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment, with growth opportunities across multiple projects within the firm.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (emphasis)
MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering preferred
TXPE License or ability to obtain in 6 months
Experience with plan production and AutoCAD Civil 3D/MEP3D/Revit
Experience with hydraulic/environmental calculations and technical report writing
Experience with hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/InfoWater/InfoSewer

Responsibilities

Interact well with other team members within the Wilson & Company team
Contact and visit clients for business development/marketing, including attendance at local industry conferences and seminars
High degree of intrapersonal and communication skills is necessary
Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills
Comfortable to manage and develop business client relationships
Proficient in managing water and wastewater projects to meet client schedules and budgets
Ability to mentor engineers in training and design staff in project execution and client expectations
