Job summary

Hydro Resources - Mid Continent is seeking a project manager to oversee land-based drilling projects for municipal water wells in Las Cruces, NM. You will develop plans, manage budgets, and coordinate crews and contractors to deliver on time and within scope.

Travel to client sites, communicate with clients and regulators, and ensure safety and quality. A bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years PM experience is preferred; proficiency with MS Project, Atlassian tools, and Primavera is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, geosciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Understanding or strong interest in land-based drilling operations and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Atlassian tools, Primavera).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites with overnight stays.

Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee land-based drilling projects for municipal water well drilling. This role will play a critical part in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules for assigned drilling and pump projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of drilling and pump operations, including budgeting, permitting, logistics, and contractor management.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and regulatory agencies.
  • Track project progress, identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Analyze project-related data and generate reports as required.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Travel to client sites regularly for key project milestones, to resolve project barriers, and to manage key issues around the health and safety of our teams.
