Job summary

Alliance Water Resources is seeking a full-time Utility Worker I for Cape Girardeau, MO. The role involves maintenance and repair of water and wastewater facilities and equipment, under general supervision, with a 7:30 am–4:00 pm schedule and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installations, and safety compliance. A valid driver's license is required; water/wastewater certification is preferred but not required. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain good standing.
• Water and/or wastewater Certification strongly desired yet not required.
• Ability to perform heavy labor, walking long distances, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and digging.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear safety equipment.
• Comfort with outdoor work in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems and monitors plant operations.
• Maintains and repairs water and wastewater plant equipment and related facilities.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repair on related equipment.
• Assists in installation and inspection of water line services and appurtenances.
• Completes work orders and records test results; maintains inventory and orders supplies.
