Job summary

City of Winter Park seeks Utility Service Workers I–III to perform routine maintenance and repair on water and wastewater lines across the City’s system. Work is performed under supervision with clear procedures and frequent review.

Roles include installation, operation of tools and equipment, and on-call standby after probation. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL Class B with tanker endorsement (or access to one within 12 months), and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class B with tanker endorsement or obtain CLP within 4 months and CDL within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain Florida State Water Distribution Class 3 License or Wastewater Collection “C” Certification within 1.5 years of hire.
• Must be willing to be on-call and respond to after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment to support field work.
• Maintain daily paperwork and records.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
