Qualifications

• Knowledge of water and wastewater systems.
• Ability to read and interpret operation manuals, diagrams, safety data sheets, blueprints, and procedures.
• Strong communication with the public and colleagues in a courteous, diplomatic manner.

Responsibilities

• Oversees repairs to water and wastewater lines, manholes, lift stations, and force mains.
• Evaluates daily work assignments and delegates duties to team members.
• Develops and coordinates project plans to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Operates a range of commercial equipment for construction and maintenance of water/wastewater systems.
• Reads gauges, meters, and other metering devices to monitor system performance.
• Maintains inventory of materials and tools.
• Ensures traffic safety devices are set up during work.
• Assists in troubleshooting water and wastewater flow problems.
