Job summary

Town of Davie is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Worker to install, maintain and repair water distribution and sewer lines under supervision. You will perform semi-skilled to skilled tasks, operate trucks and backhoes, read blueprints, and respond to service calls in a team environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year of utility maintenance experience; valid driver’s license; ability to obtain Level III Water Distribution and Class C wastewater licenses within

Qualifications

• High school graduation required.
• At least 1 year of experience in utility maintenance or construction labor.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces water and sewer lines and fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment; maintains tool inventory.
• Responds to service calls; locates lines and detects leaks.
• Reads blueprints and schematics to locate lines and fixtures; uses flow meters and dye tests.
