Job summary

BGE, Inc. in Austin and San Antonio is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Public Works team. You will plan, analyze, and design municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, and prepare construction-ready drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualified candidates have 5–7 years’ civil engineering experience, EIT certification, and preferably a Texas PE license. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with project teams, support client meetings, and help deliver projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• EIT certification required or eligible.
• Texas PE license preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and design municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, design reports, and construction documents.
• Perform hydraulic modeling for water/wastewater systems.
• Develop construction-ready drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with project managers, CAD designers, and subcontractors.
• Support client meetings and project coordination; assist with QA/QC.
