Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater projects across Orlando, Estero, and Tampa. You will oversee planning, design, and construction, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary client contact.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida PE license, a civil or environmental engineering degree, and 6+ years in water/wastewater engineering. Collaboration with regional managers and multi-disciplinary teams is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• PE license in Florida required.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in municipal/industrial water/wastewater engineering.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience delivering technical and business presentations.
• Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and ability to translate into business strategies.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for major municipal clients.
• Market existing and potential clients and assist in proposals and strategies.
• Prepare and manage project budgets.
• Lead planning, evaluation, and selection of design alternatives.
• Perform design calculations and analyses.
• Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction-phase services including meetings and site visits.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance across deliverables.
• Review specifications and drawings and document design changes.
• Plan and execute work safely, on time, and within budget.
• Collaborate with Regional Manager to develop clients and proposals.
• Demonstrate a track record of profitable client assignments.
