Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our Red River Area Public Works Team. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership in municipal water and/or wastewater systems and manage projects with a team of engineers, scientists, and planners across multiple offices in Texas and Oklahoma.

You will lead project delivery, cultivate client relationships, and support business development while mentoring staff and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 7+ years of related water and wastewater facilities engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic design, and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with design and modeling software (AutoCAD, WaterCAD or similar).
• Experience with project management including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, cost, and scheduling decisions while upholding quality standards.
• Manage water and/or wastewater projects for new and long-term clients with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and nurture client relationships and contracts for complex projects.
• Participate in scoping activities and client presentations.
• Mentor and develop staff and grow the team.
• Present at technical conferences and participate in technical committees.
