Job description

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our growing Public Works team.

Primary Function

In this role, you will manage and work on a variety of water/wastewater projects, including but not limited to water and wastewater treatment plants. This is a remote opportunity for the ideal candidate.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Manage the budget and schedule for multiple engineering projects.
  2. Serve as the Engineer of Record and technical lead for your projects.
  3. Communicate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project completion.
  4. Develop project scopes of work, budgets, and schedules based on client feedback, and negotiate revisions or changes during the project.
  5. Assist Senior Project Managers in allocating junior engineering and production staff, managing workloads based on project priorities.
  6. Oversee and coordinate project team activities.
  7. Prepare and review technical engineering specifications and cost estimates; coordinate with construction administration staff.
  8. Provide feedback and guidance to junior engineering staff on design techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  9. Provide direction to field personnel on construction requirements, visit sites, and conduct field observations as needed.
  10. Assist with project pursuits and proposal preparation.
Education and Experience Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  2. 8+ years of related experience in water/wastewater projects.
  3. Texas PE license required.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including client and regulatory agency interfacing.
  5. Strong technical writing skills for reports and studies.
  6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to work efficiently within project budgets and schedules.
  9. Excellent team collaboration skills.
