Job Title: Commercial Project Manager
Location: Remote (anywhere in the US)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (ability to accommodate various US time zones required)
Assignment: 1-year contract with high likelihood of extension
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for supporting the planning, execution, and tactical management of strategic initiatives and projects, particularly focusing on product launches and site consolidations for our valued customers. You will play a key role in driving day-to-day operational tasks and ensuring successful project implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, set realistic timelines, and track key milestones.
- Coordination & Communication: Lead and coordinate project meetings, including creating agendas, documenting notes, tracking action items, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. You will be responsible for communicating project status to core team members and stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and assess their impact. You will escalate project delays or lack of progress to senior leadership as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships and communicate effectively with diverse internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, field service) and external customers to ensure seamless project flow.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records and generate regular update reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 7-10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 3 years in a hands-on project management role.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the execution of complex tasks and manage project timelines effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software, with a strong emphasis on Smartsheets. (Experience transferring information from MS Project to Smartsheets is a plus).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate issues and risks to both internal teams and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Willingness to travel periodically (a few trips initially for onboarding, then quarterly) to corporate offices and customer sites.
Preferred:
- Experience within the medical technology, healthcare, or similar regulated industries.
- Background understanding facilities, site permitting, and shipping processes.
- Project Management coursework or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus, but practical experience is prioritized.
- Bachelor's degree (any discipline).
