A leading company in lumber and building materials is seeking a Principal IT Project Manager to navigate large-scale IT projects. This remote position focuses on delivering value across business and IT functions, ensuring project management best practices, and mentoring junior managers. Candidates should hold a Master's degree and possess extensive project management experience along with a PMP certification.
Serves as a Principal IT Project Manager for the nation’s largest lumber and building materials provider for residential construction. Works in an autonomous, remote environment on IT projects supporting internal clients across business and IT functions. Follows PMO processes and policies, directs project teams, and collaborates with departmental leaders to deliver projects. Manages all aspects of large initiatives from concept to implementation, defining scope, developing work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Leads teams to deliver projects spanning multiple business units with authority to manage day-to-day operations. Manages issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful, on-time delivery. Contributes to process improvements in project delivery, ensuring quality, within time and budget constraints, to realize business benefits.
