Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in California to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in a dynamic consulting environment. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, engage clients, and deliver solutions that strengthen long-term water reliability.

You’ll oversee project delivery from planning through construction, manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and support business development while leveraging a hybrid work model with two days in the office each

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of water/wastewater experience with 2+ years in a PM role.
• PE license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to travel to project sites and Kennedy Jenks offices.
• Preferred: site civil design, technical writing, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction support while managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee engineering deliverables, including plans, specs, cost estimates, reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, project teams, stakeholders during construction-phase.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in hiring and recruiting.
