Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Technical Lead in San Diego, CA to guide multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will lead technical deliverables, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing water/wastewater treatment and/or conveyance from pursuit to construction.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams including internal staff, subconsultants, vendors, and suppliers.
• Experience with collaborative delivery projects working with contractors and vendors.
• Strong client service, project management, and/or design management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for innovative water/wastewater solutions.
• Lead design and construction administration of projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop reports, plans, specifications, calculations and drawings for treatment, conveyance, and infrastructure projects.
• Communicate with clients through planning, design and construction phases.
• Support California conferences, professional associations, and academic partnerships.
• Collaborate with PMs and leadership to coordinate marketing and project delivery in local and remote offices.
• Mentor junior staff in California offices.
• Uphold Stantec safety procedures and protocols.
