Job summary

HMB Professional Engineers, LLC is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Knoxville, TN to lead the planning, design, and delivery of critical water infrastructure projects. You’ll coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulators to ensure timely, within-budget completion and compliance with all codes.

You have 10+ years of public infrastructure experience, a PE license, and strong leadership and communication skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and manage client

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering required.
• Registered Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources.
• Project or client management experience required.
• Ability to guide junior staff and participate in design across multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project teams and coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, and scopes to align with client goals.
• Review designs for quality, constructability, and code compliance.
• Lead feasibility studies and infrastructure planning efforts.
• Develop and manage contracts, procurement processes, and administrative activities.
• Coordinate permitting and approvals with authorities.
• Provide client updates and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, risk assessments.
