Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in Arizona, with flexibility to work from Phoenix, Gilbert/Chandler, or Goodyear/Tolleson offices and potential Arizona-wide remote arrangements.

The role requires 8+ years in water/wastewater, a BS in a related field, and a PE in AZ or ability to obtain in 12 months; strong hydraulic design, team leadership, and client service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience including project management experience; AZ PE preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Strong technical skills with hydraulic principles; ability to design water/wastewater systems.
• Experience in water distribution and wastewater facilities planning and design (pump stations, storage reservoirs, wells, lift stations, mains).
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; strong organization and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead water/wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to design, construction, and startup.
• Oversee engineering teams in production of construction documents and drawings.
• Manage quality control, schedules, budgets, and plan production.
• Prepare design documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Develop water/wastewater planning documents, hydraulic models and studies.
• Coordinate with utilities, municipalities, consultants, and clients.
• Handle project billing, proposals, and client satisfaction.
• Provide construction-phase support (RFI responses, submittals, engineer-of-record services).
• Delegate work and ensure technically sound, cost-efficient design.
• Interact with plan reviewers to resolve issues.
