Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Las Cruces, NM (or El Paso) with 4–10 years of experience. The role focuses on water/wastewater projects including supply, conveyance, treatment, and disposal, with leadership and growth opportunities in a fast-paced team environment.

The position may include production management, project management, contracting, mentoring and client management, with collaboration across multiple project types.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering emphasis.
• MS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• 4-10 years of experience in water/wastewater.
• TXPE license or ability to obtain in 6 months.
• Experience with plan production and AutoCAD/Rev it tools.
• Experience with hydraulic and environmental calculations and technical report writing.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/InfoWater/InfoSewer.

Responsibilities

• Interact with team members to complete projects independently.
• Contact and visit clients for business development and marketing.
• Attend local industry conferences and seminars.
• Develop and manage client relationships and project budgets.
• Mentor engineers in training and design staff.
• Manage a range of water and wastewater projects to meet schedules.
• Lead project execution and ensure client expectations are met.
