Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Purification & Disinfection and ZeeWeed ITR teams. You will design mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment, coordinate orders, and support engineering deliverables throughout design, fabrication, and start-up stages.

The role requires a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in related fields, with exposure to UF/MBR design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a related engineering field, with experience in water and wastewater treatment design and/or UF/MBR system design.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring design quality, while meeting project schedule, budget, and customers’ expectations.
• Execute and coordinate the design of orders for the ZeeWeed ITR teams, and support Sales and Commercial Engineering with the design of UF membrane replacement opportunities.
• Be a resource for the Applications and Project Management teams to assist in day to day project work and feed back findings to Product Management.
• Perform calculations for sizing, generate technical specifications and prepare BOMs for mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, compressors, ozone/UV systems, vessels, filters, piping, valves).
• Engineer systems in compliance with engineering principles, customer standards, contractual requirements, and local codes.
• Coordinate design reviews and project issue resolution across design, construction and start-up.
