Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in the United States seeks a Project Engineer to lead mechanical design for purification and disinfection systems, coordinating with P&D and ZeeWeed ITR teams to deliver on schedule and budget.

You will guide junior engineers, perform sizing calculations for pumps and vessels, review drawings, ensure compliance with codes, and support field start-up while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a related Engineering field with project engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring design quality, while meeting project schedule, budget, and customers’ expectations.
• Coordinate the design of orders for the ZeeWeed ITR teams, and support UF membrane replacement opportunities.
• Be a resource for the Applications and Project Management teams to assist in day to day project work and feed back findings to Product Management.
• Perform sizing calculations, generate technical specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations for pumps, VFDs, vessels, piping, and related equipment.
• Engineer systems in compliance with engineering principles, customer standards, contractual requirements, and local codes.
• Ensure all engineering designs, BOMs and data are documented by reviewing drawings and documents.
• Coordinate design reviews and issue resolution during design, construction and start-up.
• Delegate, coordinate and support junior engineers and contractors in project execution activities.
• Meet QMS requirements for project execution and customer problem resolution.
