Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Project Engineer to collaborate with the Purification & Disinfection and ZeeWeed ITR teams on custom designs, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment. You will guide a cross-functional engineering group and lead a project support team to deliver engineering deliverables.

The role involves mechanical design for water and wastewater systems, BOM accuracy, and coordinating with Sales and Commercial Engineering on UF membrane replacement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in chemical, mechanical or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in a related engineering field with project engineering experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs and perform hydraulic design calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment systems with quality, schedule, and budget in mind.
• Coordinate design of orders for ZeeWeed ITR teams and support UF membrane replacement opportunities.
• Lead and delegate for project support and junior engineers; drive technical development.
• Perform sizing calculations, generate technical specs, and conduct bid evaluations for mechanical equipment.
• Ensure designs and BOMs are documented per standards and codes; review drawings and documents.
• Coordinate design reviews and resolve scheduling and technical issues across design/construction/start-up.
• Interface with project manager and customer to resolve problems and meet QMS requirements.
