Mead & Hunt is seeking a water/wastewater project engineer to join our team in a full-time role in Florida. You will serve as the lead civil/environmental engineer on water and wastewater projects, overseeing design and performing technical tasks while mentoring staff and supporting proposals.

The ideal candidate has a civil/environmental engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, 4+ years of experience, and a Florida PE license (or ability to obtain in other states).

• At least four years of relevant experience.
• PE license in Florida with ability to obtain in additional states.

Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing water/wastewater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities Include

• Serving as the lead civil/environmental engineer on water and wastewater projects
• Overseeing design as well as performing technical design tasks
• Assisting with drafting proposals with scope and pricing
• Assisting with reviewing client billings
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
• Travel will be required (Up to 25%)

The Successful Candidate Must Have All Of The Following

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• At least four years of relevant experience
• PE license in Florida with the ability to obtain in additional states

The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The Following

• Consulting experience
• Experience designing water and wastewater projects, with specialization in one or more of the following project types:
• Water/wastewater treatment
• Pump stations
• Effluent disposal and biosolids
• Stormwater
• Experience with GIS, SewerCAD, WaterCAD, BioWin
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and StormWise
• Desire to grow into a project management role
