Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead civil and environmental efforts on critical water infrastructure projects in the Tampa area.

The role involves overseeing design, performing technical tasks, and supporting proposals and client billing. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (ABET accredited), 4+ years of relevant experience, and Florida PE licensure with the ability to obtain in other states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (ABET accredited)
• At least four years of relevant experience
• PE license in Florida with ability to obtain in additional states
• Desire to grow into a project management role
• Experience designing water and wastewater projects is a plus

Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing water/wastewater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the lead civil/environmental engineer on water and wastewater projects
• Overseeing design as well as performing technical design tasks
• Assisting with drafting proposals with scope and pricing
• Assisting with reviewing client billings
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
• Travel will be required (Up to 25%)

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

• A bachelors degree (or higher) in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• At least four years of relevant experience
• PE license in Florida with the ability to obtain in additional states

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Consulting experience
• Experience designing water and wastewater projects, with specialization in one or more of the following project types:
• Large diameter pipelines
• Water/wastewater treatment
• Pump stations
• Effluent disposal and biosolids
• Stormwater
• Experience with GIS, SewerCAD, WaterCAD, BioWin
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and StormWise
• Desire to grow into a project management role
