Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Industrial Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate large-scale utility projects on-site in Blacksburg, VA. You will manage schedules, costs, subcontractors, and reporting to ensure projects meet scope, time, and budget targets.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 3–5 years of related experience and strong CPM scheduling, MS Office, and cost data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree from four‑year college or university.
• 3–5 years of experience in related field.
• Strong proficiency with CPM scheduling software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand plans and specifications.
• Follow administrative procedures as outlined in Project Administration Manual.
• Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to plans.
• Produce schedules; proficient with CPM scheduling program.
• Prepare or direct preparation of reports, specs, plans, env impact studies, and designs.
• Provide contract interpretation and clarification.
• Maintain and update project schedules with monthly updates and two‑week look ahead reviews.
• Understand cost and productivity data.
• Maintain, verify, and report cost and income quantities for work performed.
• Review, approve, and submit progress billings.
• Analyze, prepare, and maintain and monitor job costs and production budget.
• Work with Superintendent to control job costs and production budget.
