Job summary

Alterman is seeking a Level 1 Assistant Project Manager to support Electrical Project Managers on water and wastewater projects. You will help plan, schedule, and track submittals, RFIs, and vendor quotes while maintaining documentation and safety programs.

You will participate in on-site and office activities, attend project meetings, and assist with cost projections, close-out, and communications with stakeholders. Travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive project planning to maximize profit opportunities.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Familiar with Primavera, MS Project, MS Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with schedule preparation.
• Review plans and specifications; prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Maintain material files and track purchase orders, quotes and drawings.
• Attend project meetings and assist with close-out procedures and documents.
• Provide project cost projections and assist coordination of on-site meetings.
