Job summary

Alterman, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support water and wastewater projects in Austin. You will assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring safety, quality, and cost control.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, preparing RFIs, maintaining records, and supporting close-out activities. A pathways-based education plus PM training commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Pathways include apprenticeship completion or an associate degree as listed.
• Ability to participate in PM training with one-on-one coaching.
• Excellent reading and interpretation of plans, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning with Preconstruction and Support groups.
• Review plans/specs and prepare RFIs as needed.
• Assist with schedule, cost projections, and submittals.
• Maintain material files and create 3-Week Lookahead as needed.
• Attend project reviews and support close-out procedures.
