Job summary

Alterman, Inc. is seeking a Level 1 Assistant Project Manager to assist Project Managers on assigned project components. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cost control across all tasks, with involvement in planning, documentation, and coordination with preconstruction and support groups.

You will participate in kickoff meetings, review plans, prepare RFIs, and assist with schedule development. The position requires working knowledge of NEC and construction processes, with travel to job

Qualifications

• Requires Inside Wireman Apprenticeship completion or equivalent with 2 years' supervisory field experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Willingness to participate in Project Management training with an assigned PM.
• Strong planning and coordination abilities across preconstruction and project support.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with project planning, RFIs, submittals, and lookahead development.
• Maintain material files and project documentation; assist with closeout procedures.
• Prepare accurate job cost projections and attend project review meetings.
• Communicate effectively with project team and subcontractors; adhere to Alterman procedures and policies.
