Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer to join our Texas Division in the El Paso area.

The role involves installing pumps, blowers, clarifiers, water filtration systems, and above-ground piping, with emphasis on proper alignment and anchoring on challenging construction sites. You will work at professional construction sites, often outdoors in all weather, and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of water/wastewater industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing process equipment such as pumps, blowers, clarifiers, water filtration systems, flanged above ground piping, influent fine screens, and aeration basin systems.
• Understanding of the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of different types of process piping materials and connections, PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
