Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer to join our Austin-area team. You will install pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filtration systems, piping, and related equipment on water/wastewater projects.

The role requires hands-on assembly, alignment and anchoring of equipment, and safe operation of cranes and industrial lifts. A high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of water/wastewater industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing process equipment such as pumps, blowers, clarifiers, water filtration systems, flanged above ground piping, influent fine screens, and aeration basin systems.
• Understanding of the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of different types of process piping materials and connections, PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
