Job summary

Central States Water Resources in Monroe, LA seeks an Operations Technician to operate, maintain, and monitor the water and wastewater treatment plant. You will ensure processes meet environmental regulations and support 24/7 plant operations.

Under supervision of a certified operator, you will perform routine tests, maintenance, and data entry, contributing to safe, reliable water services for the community and hands-on field training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Familiarity with industry software and ability to learn new systems.
• Certified Water/Wastewater operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular tests on chemical levels and water quality.
• Monitor water quality to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Run routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment.
• Enter plant operation and water quality data into SAMS system for required reports.
• Respond to emergencies and system failures.
• Travel to assigned plants in the local area.
• Work 24/7 shifts and adhere to safety procedures.
