Job summary

Central States Water Resources is seeking a Plant Operator in Anderson, SC to operate, maintain, and monitor water and wastewater treatment processes in a 24/7 environment. You will conduct routine tests, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage data entry for required reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Water/Wastewater Operator Certification required.
• Valid Driver License preferred or required.
• Familiarity with industry software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor equipment and processes to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular test checks on chemical levels, water quality, and equipment operations.
• Monitor water quality to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine testing of water and wastewater for regulatory compliance.
• Enter plant operation and water quality data into SAMS system for required reports.
• Record and report accurate operational data and performance metrics.
• Perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and systems.
• Operate chemical feed pumps for accurate dosing.
• Oversee grounds and building maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Travel to assigned plants in the local area and work 24/7 shifts as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
