Job summary

STV’s Austin, TX office is seeking a Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer/Project Manager to contribute to the Water Practice Group. You’ll lead design and execution of W/WW transmission, distribution and collection projects and guide project teams.

Responsibilities include driving on-time delivery, budgeting, client coordination, and QA/QC, with emphasis on pipelines 24” to 108” and local municipalities. PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration.
• 5–12 years of progressive W/WW pipeline experience.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience in design and construction of water and wastewater conveyance.
• Experience with local municipalities and utility companies.
• Proficient with project management and computer systems for project control.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and teamwork skills.
• Experience leading project meetings.
• Experience supervising multiple staff including PMs and engineers.
• Proficient scheduling, spreadsheets, documents and databases.
• Experience QA/QC planning.
• Experience with Document Control and Project Procedures Manual.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large or multiple projects on time and within budget per contract.
• Provide effective project management to reduce costs and add value.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and data for project planning.
• Assist in backlog execution and new work pursuits.
• Lead design staff and coordinate internal departments.
• Oversee project designs and construction oversight.
• Interface with clients to align expectations.
• Ensure safety in project responsibilities.
• Participate in corporate initiatives to meet company goals.
• Assess requirements and recommend approaches to meet client needs.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements and schedule.
• Monitor costs, budgets, schedules, and staffing.
• Improve project quality and create metrics.
• Facilitate communication plans and status review meetings.
• Supervise others when assigned; perform related duties.
