Job summary

Aqua Texas is seeking a Facility Operator to operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities and distribution systems, with on-site duties and a path to a Class C license. You will work to ensure reliable service and safety while advancing through the certs as opportunities arise.

All training, safety equipment, tools, uniforms, boots, and a company vehicle are provided. Overtime and on-call shifts are part of the role, with opportunities to grow within Essential Utilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Water/Wastewater license not required; C well or Grade I license a plus.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled plant inspections and acts as Operator in Responsible Charge of assigned systems.
• Monitors gauges, meters and control panels and records readings.
• Maintains records on production, maintenance and treatment as required.
• Collects samples and performs chemical analysis as required.
• Extracts samples and performs routine lab tests, certifying results.
• Addresses service orders pertaining to customer service, water distribution and/or collections system calls.
• Must be available to work overtime and “on call” responsibilities as scheduled.
• Performs other duties or special projects as requested related to the area of responsibility.
