Job summary

Clearwater is seeking a field-ready Operator to oversee water distribution and treatment operations on site in North Carolina. You will manage pumps, valves, and equipment, handle chemical dosing, run samples, and maintain records for safety and compliance.

You will also perform preventive maintenance, data entry, and reporting while supporting landscape and site upkeep. Weekend, overtime, and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NC certification as Wastewater Operator (Grade III or higher) and/or Water Operator (Grade B Surface Water).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVRS required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution system including pumps, motors, valves, generators, and equipment.
• Handle chemical feed systems, including chemical dosing and inventory management.
• Maintains pump stations and performs routine sampling, lab testing, and data reporting.
• Ensures compliance with Federal and State safety regulations; analyzes and troubleshoots pump equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and infrastructure.
• Performs facility grounds and landscape maintenance as part of site upkeep.
