American Water is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for the Military Services Group. The role focuses on performing repairs and preventive maintenance on water distribution systems and wastewater facilities, with occasional plant operations support.

The position requires a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and 0–2 years in water system maintenance, with trade courses preferred. Some overtime and on-call work may be necessary.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years’ experience in maintenance of water distribution systems, water pump stations and wastewater collection systems.
• Additional trade specific courses preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Assist in operations of water/wastewater treatment plants as needed.
• Maintain records and prepare reports of operations and maintenance work.
• Coordinate with outside utility maintenance contractors as needed.
• Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and wear PPE.
• May require overtime, weekends, or on-call duties.
