Job summary

CME Associates is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate engineers, consultants, contractors, and regulators, manage timelines and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop project reports and proposals. Hybrid work options offered; roles available in Indianapolis and other locations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering and PE licensure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) registration required or pending.
• Experience designing water treatment plants a plus.
• 10+ years in public infrastructure projects, Water Resources.
• Project or client management experience is required.
• Ability to guide junior staff in multi-discipline projects and designs.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and delivery of water/wastewater projects.
• Oversee project teams and coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, regulators.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, and scopes to align with client goals.
• Review designs for quality, constructability, and code compliance.
• Lead feasibility studies and infrastructure planning.
• Develop and manage contracts, procurement, and administration.
• Communicate updates and resolve issues with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and secure permitting.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Conduct cost-benefit and life-cycle analyses.
• Collaborate with business development on proposals and RFP responses.
