Job summary

The City of Fairhope is seeking a Water and Wastewater Technician to install and maintain the City’s water and sewer infrastructure under the supervision of the Water and Wastewater Superintendent.

The role involves setting meters, installing mains, repairing hydrants, operating heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, dump trucks), and ensuring safety compliance. A Class A CDL is required or obtained within six months, and background checks apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain water service mains and lines.
• Install and repair water meters and irrigation meters.

• Perform routine maintenance and assist other departments as needed.
